Read More » The goal of MRS University Chapters is “to foster discussion among
students and faculty in the various materials disciplines, to generate
student interest in materials science and to promote the exchange and
dissemination of information from the Society.” To that end, it is
important for you to recruit students enrolled not just in materials
science, but in other related fields as well. This will help to broaden
your member base and allow for more robust and interdisciplinary Chapter
activity. It will also mean more money for your Chapter. How? Because
MRS will reimburse your Chapter $10 for every student member who is also
a member of national MRS. So, more members ... more money!
