Do you wish you had an extra hour each day to get more done? This workshop was designed to help you to find that hour--or more--each day that you may now be wasting, so that you accomplish more and have more time to do what you want to do. This workshop wass open to all registered 2011 MRS Fall Meeting attendees.

"I don't have enough time!" is a common complaint today in a work world that is increasingly fast-paced and competitive, where practically everyone is expected to accomplish more. Technology, especially e-mail, which was supposed to help us all to save time, has become one of the biggest time wasters. This workshop helped attendees regain control of their time, including their e-mail inbox.

Workshop Topics Include

  • 5 basic time management strategies to get more done in less time
  • 10 productivity principles to give you a competitive edge
  • Overcoming the 5Ps that slow us down: Procrastination, Perfectionism, Poor Planning, Poor Pacing, and Petulance (attitude counts)
  • Finding your hidden productive time
  • Creating a more organized and effective workspace
  • Dealing with interruptions
  • Using stress to your advantage
  • Using Jan's unique ACTION plan each day so you get more done in less time and with less stress
  • The myth of multi-tasking
  • Achieving work-life balance
  • Lots more

Registration Included:

  • Workshop materials
  • Complimentary copies of Jan Yager’s two books on time management:
    • Work Less, Do More (published by Sterling Publishing Company, with five foreign editions)
