Talk Presentation: Nanomaterials at DTRA—How Your Great Ideas Can Get Funding!
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Chemical/Biological Technologies Department (DTRA-CB) funds cutting-edge science and technology development for defense against chemical and biological threats. This presentation introduced MRS members to the nanomaterials-related areas of interest to DTRA-CB, such as the Nanostructured Active Therapeutic Vehicles (NATV) Program. Best practices to get S&T funding from DTRA and the Department of Defense were also discussed.
Dr. Viktoria Greanya is the senior manager for nanomaterials research at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Prior to this, she was the program manager for functional materials at DARPA. Her current interests are integrated nanostructure and materials systems, bioinspired materials and materials at the interface of biology and physics.
