  This program was created with students and postdocs in mind! Not exactly sure about your future career path in MSE? Tenured professor, laboratory researcher, industrial engineer, advocate, journalist – so many choices! Join this diverse panel of scientists who will share their insight about the role of materials science and engineering in their organizations and address existing career opportunities at various degree levels. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • Potential opportunities available for applicants with BS, MS or PhD degrees in materials science and engineering in each sector (e.g., academic, industry, advocacy, etc.)
  • Pros and cons of working in each sector
  • Skill sets and attributes employers seek
  • The role of MSE in each type of organization
