Become a Congressional Science and Engineering Fellow

MRS offers exciting opportunities for scientists to learn about the field of science policy by spending one year as a Special Legislative Assistant  in the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C.

In this session, attendees learned about the MRS/OSA and MRS/TMS Congressional Fellowships and heard from current and former Fellows about their experiences as scientists in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Kevin J. Whittlesey was the 2006–2007 MRS/OSA Congressional Fellow and currently serves as the chair of the MRS Government Affairs Committee.
