The second February issue of the Materials 360 Newsletter features news about a tandem solar cell with perovskite that has 50% higher efficiency than the silicon one alone, a catalytic alloy that enables the growth of high-quality graphene on silicon, and hydrogels that induce bone regeneration. Also included are a policy issue on PCAST’s assessment of the US Nanotechnology Initiative, and the second post in the Materials Research Society’s series of profiles of materials researchers.
