    The 2013 MRS Fall Meeting will be held in Boston, December 1-6, with 51 symposia. The chairs are Charles T. Black, Elisabetta Comini, Gitti Frey, Kristi L. Kiick and Loucas Tsakalakos. Coverage in these newsletters will include the Plenary Session, the Awards Ceremony and awards talks, the exhibit, Science as Art, special events and more. We look forward to seeing you there!


  • 2013 MRS Fall Meeting-1 & 2

    The 2013 MRS Fall Meeting began with many special talks on the first two days: the inaugural Kavli Early Career Lectureship in Nanoscience from Jennifer A. Dionne, Stanford University; the Fred Kavli Distinguished Lectureship in Nanoscience from Fiorenzo Omenetto, Tufts University; the Materials Theory Award Talk from David J. Srolovitz, University of Pennsylvania; the Plenary talk from David L. Morse, Corning Incorporated; the Partnership for Research and Education in Materials and more.


  • 2013 MRS Fall Meeting-Day 3

    The third day of the meeting included the David Turnbull Lectureship from Robert O. Ritchie, University of California, Berkeley; the Rump Session for Organo-metal Halide Perovskite-based Solar Cells; Government Agency Forum; poster awards; the exhibit and technical talks.


  • 2013 MRS Fall Meeting-Day 4

    Wednesday proved to be the busiest day of the week at the 2013 MRS Fall Meeting. It started with the Women in Materials Science and Engineering Breakfast, and included the Sixth Technology Innovation Forum, the MRS Medal Lecture and the University Chapter Representative’s Luncheon. Highlights covered here include the MRS Awards Ceremony, the poster session and technical sessions. 


  • 2013 MRS Fall Meeting-Day 5

    As the Meeting began to wind down, the symposia continued with interesting discussions on Big and Open Data for Materials Research moderated by MRS President-Elect Tia Benson Tolle. Winners for the Thursday poster sessions and Science as Art award were also announced.
