Students Win Prize for Innovative Pothole Repair
Students at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland have won the top prize in a competition sponsored by the materials company Saint-Gobain designed to "use simple materials to create an unconventional product that solves a common problem." They developed rugged bags filled with a non-Newtonian fluid called "oobleck" to produce an easy-to-install, temporary patch for potholes. Read the story and watch the video
