Proceedings and Books

MRS publications provide an important record of current developments in the most technologically valuable areas of materials research, reported by experts from around the world.

In particular, the MRS Proceedings series provides a “snapshot in time” of fundamental and emerging research areas reported at MRS Spring and Fall Meetings. The series currently features over 900 print volumes, each peer-reviewed, containing subject and author indexes, and available in durable hardcover bindings.  

Proceedings may be purchased as complete books or, beginning with our 2000 MRS Spring Meeting (Volume 609), by individual papers as electronic documents. 

For MRS members, print proceedings may be purchased at discounted rates—15-30% off the list price. Members also enjoy FREE Members-Only online access to the complete Online Proceedings Library—full text of over 330 Proceedings volumes—beginning with Volume 609 and including almost 20,000 individual papers. Member access is provided by ID and password.  Not a member?  JOIN TODAY.

Institutions and libraries may purchase print proceedings volumes individually or at significant discount through our Standing Order Plan.  They may also purchase a 12-month unlimited access package to the MRS Online Proceedings Library; access is provided via IP address. Many of our newer Proceedings are also available, by Meeting, as CD or DVD collections. These collections offer convenient, portable, electronic access and include full-text search plus index of all abstracts for the meeting by title, author and symposium.
