Journal of Materials Research

Journal of Materials Research (JMR) is a premier archival journal devoted to publishing new research that demonstrates a significant impact or advance of scientific understanding of interest to the materials research community. It is edited by renowned materials scientists from the world’s most respected research facilities. Published monthly (over 3,500 technical pages annually), JMR contains full length original research papers, rapid communications and reviews. It is comprehensive in nature and since its inception has addressed more than 150 different topics on materials synthesis and processing, microstructure and properties—demonstrating its commitment to the continued advancement of interdisciplinary materials research.

JMR is available by subscription to individuals and institutions; MRS members enjoy a discounted subscription rate. All print subscriptions include FREE online access—full text of JMR articles from 1986 through the current issue.  For our members, online access is provided by ID and password; institutional access is provided via IP address.
 
Individual technical articles are also available for purchase as Electronic Documents.

  The Journal of Materials Research encourages submissions from all qualified authors, including its Principal Editors, Associate Editors, and Editor-in-Chief. In order to avoid situations of real or perceived conflicts of interest, it is the goal of the journal to conduct the review of papers authored by editors using the same high ethical standards that are used for the review of all JMR submissions. This document describes JMR's policy.
