Journal of Materials Research Image

Journal of Materials Research (JMR) is a premier archival journal devoted to publishing new research that demonstrates a significant impact or advance of scientific understanding of interest to the materials research community. It is edited by renowned materials scientists from the world’s most respected research facilities. Published monthly (over 3,500 technical pages annually), JMR contains full length original research papers, rapid communications and reviews. It is comprehensive in nature and since its inception has addressed more than 150 different topics on materials synthesis and processing, microstructure and properties—demonstrating its commitment to the continued advancement of interdisciplinary materials research.

An intensive scanning effort is now complete, and all back issues of JMR -- from 1986 through the present -- are now online. Previously, only issues dating back to 1996 were available in electronic format. JMR subscribers have complete access to all archived JMR content.

JMR is represented in many scientific abstract services, indexes, databases and online services, including: INSPEC, Science Citation Index, Materials Science Citation Index, Research Libraries Information Network (RLIN), Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), Applied Mechanical Reviews, The Materials Business File, Metals Abstracts, Current Physics Index, Chemical Abstracts, Solid State and Superconductivity Abstracts, Ceramics Abstracts, Materials Science and Engineering Abstracts, Metadex, Physics Briefs/SPIN, CPAA, PINET, STN.

JMR is available by subscription to individuals and institutions; MRS members enjoy a discounted subscription rate. All print subscriptions include FREE online access—full text of JMR articles from 1986 through the current issue.  For our members, online access is provided by ID and password; institutional access is provided via IP address.
