Advocacy/Science Policy/Government Agency Sessions
MRS contributes to the development of the U.S. government's science and technology policy in materials-related areas by:
- responding to and initiating opportunities to interact with government officials and public and private organizations on matters of science and technology policy,
- serving as a resource for reliable, unbiased technical and professional information, and
- stimulating responsible technical discussion and facilitating the exchange of information between policy makers, materials scientists, engineers, and the public.
At each meeting, we invite a number of government agency representatives to speak on current priorities and funding opportunities in materials research. Below, you’ll find a list of Government Agency Sessions as well as Advocacy events that will be held during the 2011 MRS Spring Meeting.
