MRS invites employer participation in the Career Center being held April 10 - 12 in conjunction with the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit.  The well-targeted audience at the MRS Career Center provides an opportunity to meet high-level candidates such as:

  • computational scientists
  • materials engineers
  • materials scientists
  • nanotechnologists
  • physicists
  • polymer scientists

at various career stages including:

  • graduate assistants
  • postdoctoral researchers

  • senior researchers
  • staff scientists

The following on-site Career Center options are available to aid in your hiring needs:

  • Recruitment Booth
    Registration: $1195 for 3-day rental
    Option Includes: Personal meeting space and display area (10' x 8' booth includes pipe and drape, ID sign, carpet, 6' table with skirt and two chairs); resume access on-site*; unlimited job announcement postings; and on-site interview area. Advance registration required.
  • Recruitment Services - Interview On Site
    Registration Rates:
    Corporate Affiliates: Register for free before Friday, march 2; $200 after deadline
    Exhibitors: $225 before Friday, March 11; $325 after deadline
    Others: $350
    Option Includes: Post job announcements, access resumes on-site* and interview job candidates.
  • Job Posting Only
    1-3 job postings: $95
    4-6 job postings: $120
    7-15 job postings: $150
    Option allows you to post jobs -- candidates will contact you directly via instructions listed on your announcement.
    Send your job posting(s) to smiley@mrs.org (LTR size format, 12 pt font minimum, as a Word or PDF document.) Posting must clearly indicate contact info and email address to which candidates may apply. In the body of your email please include your full mailing address and contact info and an invoice(PDF) will be emailed back and payment can be made via fax.
  • eResume
    Cost: $350
    A valuable tool for immediate and future HR needs with hundreds of well-qualified candidates.

* Registered Recruiters attending the meeting can opt to gain access to resumes weeks prior to the meeting with an add-on package combining eResumes (accessing resumes prior to the meeting) and Booth Rental or Recruitment Service. Please contact smiley@mrs.org for further details.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, you may still recruit potential employees by posting job announcements and/or purchasing the Resume eBook.

At the Career Center, you can access many interesting job postings, visit recruitment booths and interview with prospective employers. Please bring extra copies of your resume for your own use.

The Career Center is FREE of charge to all MRS members and those registered to attend the meeting. If you are a member and unable to attend the Meeting, we will still gladly represent you.
