MRS Graduate Student Awards are intended to honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction. MRS seeks to recognize students of exceptional ability who show promise for significant future achievement in materials research.
The Society will present awards to graduate students who authored or co-authored symposium papers that exemplify significant and timely research. The Graduate Student Award Finalists’ Special Talk Session is open to all meeting attendees; students especially are encouraged to attend. On Wednesday evening during the Award/Plenary Session all finalists will be presented with either a Gold or Silver Award. Gold Award winners will be invited to deliver their talk in our video studio, and the videos will be made available following the meeting.
