The Career Center will be held April 14-16 at the 2009 MRS Spring Meeting and Exhibit, Moscone West, San Francisco, CA. Onsite for employers to meet and interview are high-level candidates such as:

  • biomaterials researchers
  • ceramists
  • chemists
  • computational scientists
  • materials engineers
  • materials scientists
  • nanotechnologists
  • physicists
  • polymer scientists

at various career stages including:

  • graduate assistants
  • postdoctoral researchers
  • process engineers
  • research assistants
  • research managers
  • senior & junior faculty
  • senior researchers
  • staff scientists


The following on-site Career Center options are available to aid in your hiring needs:

  • Recruitment Booth
    Registration:
    $995 for 3-day rental
    Option Includes: Personal meeting space and display area (booth includes pipe and drape, ID sign, carpet, 6' table with skirt and two chairs); access resumes onsite*; unlimited job announcement postings; and onsite interviews. Advance registration required.
  • Recruitment Services - Interview On Site
    Registration Rates:*
    Corporate Affiliates: Free if registered prior to March 13, 2009; $150 after deadline
    Exhibitors: $225 before Friday, March 13; $295 after deadline
    Others: $275 before Friday, March 13; $295 after deadline
    Option Includes: Post job announcements, access resumes onsite* and interview job candidates.
  • Job Posting Only
    1-3 job postings: $95
    4-6 job postings: $120
    7-15 job postings: $150
    Option allows you to post jobs -- candidates will contact you directly via instructions listed on your announcement.
  • eResumes
    Cost: $295
    A valuable tool for immediate and future HR needs with hundreds of well-qualified candidates.
    Registered Recruiters attending the meeting can gain access to resumes weeks prior to the meeting.

    * Packages combining eResumes (accessing resumes prior to the meeting) and Booth Rental, or Interview Onsite Services are available. Contact smiley@mrs.org for further details.

    If you are unable to attend this meeting, you may still recruit potential employees by posting job announcements and/or purchasing the Resume eBook.

We'll show off your talents to the world's most prestigious high-tech firms, universities and laboratories. At the Career Center, you can access many interesting job postings, visit recruitment booths and interview with prospective employers. Please bring extra copies of your resume for your own use.

The Career Center is FREE of charge to all MRS members and those registered to attend the meeting. If you are a member and unable to attend the Meeting, we will still gladly represent you.
