Women’s Professional Development Workshop
— Get Recognized to Get Ahead
Monday, April 13
12 Noon-5 p.m. Workshop | 5-6 p.m. Networking Reception
San Francisco Marriott | Atrium Level, Club Room

The inaugural Women’s Workshop was held at the 2008 MRS Fall Meeting and garnered such rave reviews we decided to offer it again at the 2009 MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco!

The goal of the Workshop is simple—to help women in science and engineering develop the critical skills necessary to advance their careers.

Negotiation skills … the art of interviewing effectively for a position … and achieving recognition for one’s work. These ranked among the most important career issues for our female members, when queried by survey at the 2008 MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco. That’s what our members asked for, and that’s just what we hope to provide.

Join us for the Women’s Professional Development Workshop and discover the common mistakes women scientists make in not getting recognized for a job well done. At this workshop, you’ll learn how to showcase your accomplishments and boast with dignity!
