Presentation Guidelines

Presentation Submission Deadline is June 17, 2020, 11:59 pm ET

Oral Presentation Guidelines

For the virtual EMC conference, technical sessions will be composed of pre-recorded presentations combined with live streaming question and answer. For your presentation, we will only be accepting pre-recorded talks in the PPTX format, no more than 12 minutes long, no larger than 100MB in file size.  Below is a set of steps to develop and upload your presentation to the conference presentation platform:

  • Use PowerPoint to generate your presentation. Visit this link for instructions on how to record a PowerPoint with audio for Microsoft 365, older Windows versions, or Mac.
  • You may add video of yourself and closed captions if you like. We encourage presenters to include a photo of themselves on their first and last slides.  A sample presentation may be downloaded here.
  • Please review your file before uploading to ensure that you are happy with it, as the file will be played during the conference exactly as you uploaded it.
  • Once your presentation is ready, upload it to the EMC presentation platform, Higher Logic.  We will contact you soon with further instructions when the website is available.
  • Important note: you will need to register for the conference in order to access the platform to upload your file.
  • Please contact Stephanie Law (slaw@udel.edu) or Shadi Shahedipour-Sandvik (sshahedipour-sandvik@sunypoly.edu) if you have questions or concerns.
