The app is designed to help you maximize your time during the Meeting week.
From the home page, catch a preview of upcoming sessions. The social feed includes posts from attendees and exhibitors as well as meeting-related tweets. Tweeting about the meeting? Be sure to use the official Meeting hashtag: #f18mrs.
Every Meeting event—symposium session, award talk, professional development workshop and more—can be found here. This is where you'll build your personalized Meeting schedule. Click the plus sign (on the right) on the web to add the events you don't want to miss to your schedule, or on mobile, select "Add to Schedule." Each session's location is viewable on an interactive venue map.
Sessions are presented in chronological order by default. Use the options to view all sessions by day in a list or grid view. Browse sessions by keyword, symposium or recommended session. On mobile, select Filter to sort by name, start date, symposium or most recently updated, to see a list of keywords, or to select individual symposia.
This tab is your key to networking. If you've ever wished you could get in touch with a speaker after an interesting presentation, this is your resource for making contact. Attendees are listed alphabetically by default, but options exist to sort by company, title, state, country and updated profiles. A search box makes it easy to find someone by name, company position, country or interests. An option to filter by interest is also available. Find someone you want to connect with, and use the icons on the right to send a message, request a meeting, add someone to your contact list, or make a note about a presentation.
Every company exhibiting at the Meeting is listed here. Click the exhibitor's name or icon to view their profile. Learn about key products, view brochures, images and other media, and find exhibitor locations on the interactive exhibit hall map. Use the icons on the right to add the company to your contact list or make a note about their products.
Build Your Schedule
After logging in, it's time to get started!
Search for a specific event or speaker using the Search Box. Browse the entire Meeting Program by day, or view sessions by Symposium, Cluster or Keyword, or select Symposium Sessions to view the entire list. Choose Filter on mobile to sort by date, name, Keywords or Symposia. Click the Recommended tag to view events recommended for you based on the taxonomy keywords you selected when creating your MRS account or Meeting registration.
Add the events you don't want to miss to your schedule simply by clicking Add to Schedule (on the mobile app) or the plus sign (on the web). Once your schedule is complete, view it under My Schedule (found on the left side on the Home page, or in the top-right drop-down menu throughout the site), and then print or export to Outlook, Google or iCal to merge with an existing calendar.
Note: If you have concerns about privacy with your schedule, change your Privacy Settings by going to Settings. Change Privacy Settings from Visible to Invisible.
Preview the Exhibit
Many exhibitors will feature products and services at the Meeting, and the app offers a preview before you ever arrive in town.
Browse the exhibitor list by name, booth location or sort by product categories.
Read full descriptions of each company, see lists of their key products and click on their website and social media links to learn more.
Select exhibitors you're most interested in to follow so that you don't miss their updates. Click the booth number to see their location on the Exhibitor Map.
Exhibitors can add in Media and Documents, which you can view within the app and save to your own Library.
Network with Colleagues
Take full advantage of the app's social networking capabilities and get to know your colleagues! Build your personal profile and add in a photo and biography and links to your personal social media pages, such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. Add Media and Documents that you'd like to share with other attendees, such as documents, photos, videos, web links, audio files and Flickr and Sonic Foundry links.
Browse lists of other meeting attendees, marking who you'd like to follow or meet. Use the Request Meeting feature to invite another attendee to speak with you, or send messages to colleagues through the app.
You decide how visible to make your profile—only your name will show to other attendees unless you choose to add more information. You can share everything with your fellow meeting attendees, or change your Settings under My Profile to keep your name completely invisible.
