Symposium ES04—Interfaces in Electrochemical Energy Storage

This symposium will provide an excellent forum to address the fundamental and technological aspects of interfaces (e.g., solid-solid, solid-liquid and solid-gas) in electrochemical energy storage devices. Understanding the fundamental aspects of all interfacial reactions, and mechanisms of ionic transport, electron transport and electrodeposition across all interfaces; electrochemical technologies including lithium-ion, lithium-sulfur, lithium-air, magnesium-ion and sodium-ion batteries; symmetrical and asymmetrical supercapacitors; new anode and cathode materials; design of novel electrode architectures, and new advances in electrolyte chemistries will be highlighted. Special emphasis will be given to abstracts in areas of advanced and in-situ characterization techniques as well as electrochemical modeling and multiscale simulations to analyze performance and safety aspects of energy storage devices.
