NSF PREM Research Scholars Summit Poster Session

Thursday, December 5
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Hynes, Level 1, Hall A

This special poster hall event features students from NSF's Partnerships for Research and Education in Materials (PREM) Program, which aims to enable, build and grow partnerships between minority-serving institutions and DMR-supported centers and/or facilities to increase recruitment, retention and degree attainment (which collectively define the PREM pathway) by members of those groups most historically underrepresented in materials research, and at the same time support excellent research and education endeavors that strengthen such partnerships.

If you plan to attend the Thursday evening poster session, be sure to stop by to view the students' posters and talk to them about the great work they are doing and hope to do in the future!

This year is the 20th anniversary of the NSF Partnerships for Research and Education in Materials (PREM) program, which has partnered with MRS since 2013 by bringing PREM students to the MRS Meetings. NSF PREM Program Director Shade Mamaghandi discusses the benefits of having meeting attendees interact with the students.
