Partner with MRS
At MRS, we believe that collaboration is the cornerstone of innovation and critical to rapid advances in interdisciplinary materials research. That’s why we’re committed to fostering partnerships across our global community. From joint meetings to industry-sponsored programming, strategic cooperation enables MRS and our partners to expand our program scope, streamline our teams’ efforts, and boost the visibility of our publications and events. Whether you represent a fellow scientific society, an academic institution, a corporate entity or a nonprofit organization, let’s explore how we can join forces.
How to Work with Us
If you’re interested in collaborating on any of the opportunities below, inquire directly with symposium organizers or contact us today!
New Meeting Programming
MRS welcomes proposals and suggestions for new technical programming. The Meetings Committee reviews all meeting initiatives as submitted via a Meeting Event Application Form. Such initiatives can include workshops, special sessions within the MRS Spring or Fall meetings, and/or standalone topical meetings. These events may or may not be MRS events. Ideas for meetings may be generated by MRS operating committees, the MRS Board of Directors, and/or via grass roots initiatives from the materials community at large.
Endorsement & Co-Sponsorship
MRS welcomes the opportunity to co-sponsor or endorse your organization’s technical symposia if it dovetails with our Society’s areas of interest and meets review criteria. MRS Endorsement is an official recommendation of meetings with a topic of high interest to MRS members, but without active MRS involvement in the programming. Co-sponsorship means an MRS appointee is directly and actively involved in program development (but may or may not have MRS operational or financial involvement).
Broader Impact Programming
From global Meetings to one-time topical events, virtual workshops, and more, MRS’ robust programming offers numerous opportunities for engagement with other societies, academia and industry. We also welcome collaborative participation across our Broader Impact programming, which features ongoing initiatives designed to extend the influence of scientific research to the quality of life and society at large—such as training the next generation and building broader participation among under-represented groups.
Joint Meetings
In fulfilling our commitment to promote materials research globally, MRS actively builds interdisciplinary bridges between scientific communities, producing joint meetings and workshops that cross over specialties, areas of interest and even international borders.
Corporate Sponsor Partnership
Supporting the Society's Core Value of being inclusive and egalitarian, and furthering the MRS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) aspiration, MRS's Corporate Partner Program focuses on advancing these values within the profession and within the Society. By supporting the presentation of educational opportunities and events throughout the year, Corporate Partners gain visibility and access to exclusive benefits, including opportunities for brand recognition, networking and recruitment of MRS members and MRS Spring and Fall Meeting attendees.
Upcoming Annual Meetings
The MRS Spring and Fall Meetings are essential for discovering and presenting the latest developments in materials research. The Fall Meeting, held annually in Boston, Massachusetts, is a premier event in the field. These meetings reflect the growing global, cross-disciplinary collaboration in materials research each year.
Step into the forefront of scientific discovery at the world’s leading international scientific gathering for materials research. Our annual fall event returns to the culturally-rich city of Boston, Massachusetts the week of December 1-6, 2024.
The 2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit will take place April 7-11, 2025 in Seattle, Washington. Meeting venues include the Summit, the Seattle Convention Center's brand new addition, as well as the Hyatt Regency Seattle.
