Take Action to Transform Your Local Community and Our World

A half-day professional development workshop is being piloted for participating MRS University Chapter students to learn about sustainability, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and how to align both with local community partners in the development of a year-long community action plan.

Workshop presenters and facilitators will produce a workshop program flow designed to move from subject awareness, understanding and reviewing current action plans to designing potential plans. The workshop is to provide a learning platform for each participating MRS student chapter in how to take action to catalyze diverse community collaborations toward a shared project action plan on sustainability within its local community.

After the workshop each chapter desiring to participate in the program will be asked to submit a brief plan proposal in early 2020 for judged approval.  Five of the submitted plans will be chosen to receive up to $1,000 each to help support their plan's initiatives.

Become a change-maker for achieving environmental security, social equity and economic prosperity.  Help improve the quality of life and leave a better world for our children.

Open to MRS University Chapters Only!
Limited Attendance! Two participants maximum per chapter.
