Symposium EN17-Structure–Property Processing Performance Relationships in Materials for Nuclear Technologies

The interconnections between materials’ structures, properties, and processing methods are directly correlated with performance. This symposium will explore these linkages within a wide variety of nuclear technologies, including nuclear forensics, nuclear fuels and materials, nuclear waste forms, and radiation detection. The basic science and recent advances of the understanding of these interconnections are the focus of this symposium. Contributions that combine both modeling and simulation with experiments to enhance the understanding of the structure-property-processing-performance relationships are of particular interest. Characterization methods that provide insight regarding the structure and properties of nuclear technologies are also particularly encouraged.
