Picture Your Science! Visualization of Science Communication

Wednesday, April 12
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Marriott, Second Level, Foothill F

This event focuses on the graphic design and visualization of science required to effectively communicate research to academics, industries, and the general public. Often times scientists lack the knowledge, experience, or ability to illustrate and visualize their own research and often look to outside sources for help. As we know, publications and presentations need diagrams and pictures to help convey the message. This event hopes to help bridge the gap in research and presentation of research using visualizations by providing tips and tricks to consider when creating visualizations, and how visualizations can be used to capture the attention of editors, and other audiences.
