The Materials Research Society, in partnership with Cambridge University Press, is expanding its publications portfolio and seeks book proposals from leaders in the materials community. If you see a gap in the current book offerings and have the talent to fill that gap, or know of someone who does, send in your ideas. We will work with you to shape your expertise into a useful publication.
To Get Started
To propose a book idea for publication through the Materials Research Society/Cambridge University Press publishing partnership, please follow these easy steps.
Step 1. Submit Book Concept
Submit a Book Concept Form (Word) to Betsy Fleischer, MRS principal development editor, to determine if there is mutual interest in your book idea. Concepts will be evaluated by the MRS New Publications Products Subcommittee and associates at Cambridge University Press.
Step 2. Submit Book Proposal
If your book concept is accepted, submit a full book proposal (Word) for a more comprehensive evaluation. The proposal will be evaluated by the MRS New Publications Products Subcommittee and associates at Cambridge University Press. Proposals will also be sent to experts in the field for additional review and feedback.
If your book proposal is approved, MRS and Cambridge will work with you to sign the project and quickly move to publication.
To propose a book in an existing book series, submit a proposal as instructed on the relevant proposal form:
