As a snapshot of the exciting presentations from the EL03 Symposium (2D Materials—Nanofabrication and Applications) at the 2024 MRS Fall Meeting, this workshop brings together researchers at the frontier of 2D materials science to explore how atomically thin layers are reshaping the future of nanotechnology. From innovative transfer techniques and wafer-scale integration to novel device architectures and interlayer phenomena, the sessions will span the full stack—from material synthesis to system-level applications. Special focus will be given to scalable fabrication, advanced characterization, and hybrid integration methods that bridge fundamental science with real-world technologies.
