Your chapter will receive a rebate of $10 for every student member who is also a member of MRS as of June 15 (of the current year).
Travel Support*
Your chapter is eligible for up to $500 per year in travel reimbursements to help student members attend MRS Spring and Fall Meetings.

MRS OnDemand
Create a virtual meeting experience for your chapter members with MRS OnDemand. View archived award talks, tutorials, technical sessions and more from MRS Spring and Fall Meetings. Webinars and other live-streamed, interactive events are also offered throughout the year.
Turnbull Lecturer Program
The current MRS Turnbull Lecture will be presented as a webinar for the MRS University Chapters each Spring. The lecturer will be available for a question and answer period after the talk has ended. Events will be posted at http://www.mrs.org/university-chapters along with instructions on registration.
Distinguished Speaker Support
Your chapter is eligible for $150 annually in speaker support and may qualify for even more.
MRS Bulletin
Receive free copies of the MRS Bulletin each month for use in local promotions and membership drives.
Mailing Lists
Need a list of MRS members in your area? Or a list of students who might be interested in joining your chapter? Call us about mail or email lists, reports and other information.
Marketing and Other In-Kind Support
In addition to mailing lists, MRS can offer speaker and promotional ideas, signage, certificates, books or other products suitable for chapter events (e.g., auctions, competitions and door prizes), and more.

*Only active chapters with a minimum of eight MRS Student Members and two current Regular MRS Members are eligible to receive financial benefits from MRS and the Materials Research Society Foundation. Refer to the University Chapter Handbook, MRS University Chapter Policy 5.5.1, Section I, for definition of an “active” chapter.
