  • 2012 MRS Spring Meeting Registration

    Registration for the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting is now underway.  Attendees can register online, via mail/fax, or by phone.  Deadline for discounted preregistration rates is March 23, 2012 at 5 pm (EST).

  • Check Abstract Status

    Abstract Confirmations are due by February 24, 2012.

  • 2012 MRS Spring Meeting Exhibit & Sponsorship Opportunities

    Applications for exhibit space at the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco, CA, are now being accepted.  Discounted rates are available through February 1, 2012 for organizations who sign up for both the 2012 MRS Spring Exhibit and the 2012 MRS Fall Exhibit.

  • Reserve Discounted Lodging

    Discounted lodging for the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting is available at the Marriott San Francisco Marquis, the InterContinental San Francisco, and other hotels to be announced.

  • 2012 MRS Spring Meeting Press Preregistration

    Members of the press who intend to cover the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting are requested to complete and return this form no later than March 30, 2012.

  • 2012 MRS Spring Meeting Proceedings Submission

    All authors who will participate in the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting are invited and encouraged to submit a proceedings manuscript.  All accepted proceedings papers will be published online in the Online Proceedings Library, and selected symposia will also be published in print volumes.  Deadline for submission is March 29, 2012.

  • Presentation and Audio-Visual Guidelines for Presenting Authors

    Contains guidelines to be maintained by oral and poster presenters during the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting.  Also includes information regarding the "Best Poster Awards," to be presented during each poster session.

  • Symposium Assistant Opportunity

    Graduate students who are interested in assisting in the symposium sessions during the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting are encouraged to apply for a Symposium Assistant position.  By assisting in a minimum of four half-day sessions, students will receive a refund of the student registration fee, a one-year MRS student membership commencing July 1, 2012, and a stipend to help defray expenses.

  • Social Media and Mobile Apps

    Attendees of the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting are invited to connect via social media -- including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the MRS Meetings Blog.  The Mobile Itinerary Planner app will help users make the most of their time in San Francisco.

  • Childcare Grants

    The Materials Research Society has a limited number of childcare grants available for those attending the 2012 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit from April 9-13, 2012. Grants of up to $300 will be given to selected registered meeting attendees who are bringing young children or who incur extra expenses in leaving them at home (i.e., added hours of daycare or babysitting services).

  • MRS Badge and Recording Policies

    All persons wishing to present their research and/or attend MRS conference sessions or evening events are required to register and must wear their meeting badges at all times while within the meeting venues.  Recording (audio, video, still photography, etc.) of presentations during sessions, workshops, tutorials, etc., without the written consent of MRS and the individual authors is strictly prohibited.
