2022 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit

MRS Sustainability in Action Video Competition

Now, more than ever, having a holistic look into how we conduct our work and everyday life is crucial for creating a sustainable future. Material science plays a fundamental role in this transformation, but it is the creativity, collaboration, and cooperation of students and researchers like you that will drive us to have a better future.

As such, we would love to hear about what YOU are doing on the topic of sustainability – in your group, at your institute, on your campus, or in your city! It is our pleasure to announce the Sustainability in Action Video Competition, organized by the MRS Sustainability Engagement Taskforce. We invite the MRS community to record a short video presentation displaying ideas for implementing sustainable actions on their campuses and/or institutions for the chance to win prizes up to $500.

This video should highlight students’ research, ideas, projects, activities, and/or campaigns to promote sustainability. It will be played on MRS’ YouTube channel before and live at the 2022 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit in Boston, Massachusetts, November 27-December 2, 2022.

Deadline to submit a video was November 5, 2022 at 11:59 pm EDT.
